Backstrap Loom: a simple loom worn around the weaver's waist.

It was August during the 'unknown' middle of the global pandemic. For the second year in a row, Jen attached her backstrap loom to a majestic Pine Tree on Sawyer Lake, during another 14 day canoe trip with her family.
Communing with nature, weaving so close to the pine tree, Jen was able to access parts of her heart in the desperation of uncertainty.
The length of the piece represents the length of time she spent with nature in this way.
